A quaint locally owned and operated cafe.  The beach decor and local touches make it a nice place to sit with friends or for an alone escape.  Friendly service and decent coffee.  Small place, about 7 tables.  I tried the eggs Benedict with orange hollandaise that's been recommended.  Very fresh ingredients, unique flavor and a good quality ham made it a good choice.  Even the tomato was seasoned.  Very nice.  I'll be back.

Went here for brunch on a Saturday with a group of friends. The staff and other customers went out of their way to accommodate us by rearranging tables and where customers were seated.

The restaurant seats about thirty five and has a tropical vibe in its decor, very uplifting and fun.

I ordered the daily special, which was Eggs Benedict with loaded potato pancakes. Each were nicely presented and delicious. The Eggs Benedict had a mild orange flavor in contrast to a traditional preparation. Each one of the seven diners at our table equally enjoyed their meals and the interaction with the chef and servers, to say the service was excellent would be an understatement.

Can't wait to return to try some of the other offerings.

Another Saturday, another chance to try a new breakfast place! A slice of the Caribbean islands right in Tonawanda on Niagara Street. That is how this restaurant in marketed. I was intrigued with concept and excited to try their tropical take on breakfast.  Looking at the menu though, this seemed to be your typical American cuisine.  The wall decor does have that eclectic "beach" feel that the menu lacks.
I ordered the homemade cinnamon bun to start.  Maybe my expectations were too high, what was delivered was nothing spectacular, just good. It definitely could of used more frosting.

I also ordered the eggs Benedict, due to the various rave reviews I found.  However, before I ordered the eggs Benedict my waitress warned me, and wanted to make sure that was what I really wanted.  This set off a red flag, the staff is warning me, and cautioning me before ordering something?

The eggs Benedict came with a sweet orange hollandaise sauce, wow, was it sweet! I can see why they warned me.  It was a good flavor, it did balance with the smoky ham, but I don't think I would order it again.

In fact, I don't think I'll be back again. Don't get me wrong, The food was good, and was your typical American diner.  The staff was very friendly along with the regulars who greeted us as we entered .  This just wasn't for me.   I was expecting a little more from a Caribbean cafe.  Adding orange  or a pineapple slice to a few dishes does not make your food Caribbean.

I met up with a friend here a couple days ago. I ordered the potato pancakes. They were kind of small but thick. They tasted really good. The coffee wasn't the best. The large cookies that they have are fantastic!

This cafe is a little peace of the island smack dab in the middle of Tonawanda, NY US. Billygan's inhabits an old bake shop located on Niagara St. and Seymour St. in a pocket of the neighborhood not easily seen in the daytime. I have been living five minutes away from this adorable cove and had not realized it until today.

The cafe is decked out in beachy murals and island vacation decor. I decided to eat at a picnic table outside. Upon walking in I felt like I was back lounging on the coastlines of Myrtle Beach in SC. The menu is compact but replenishing. I decided to eat at a picnic table outside. The outside of the small building features a mural by a Buffalo graffiti artist, Vinny Alejandro. I knew I recognized that style when I saw it!

Billygan's offers several different breakfast sandwiches and lunches. I ordered the Billygan's steak and cheese sandwich. It came with beer cheese, which I never ate before. It was gooey and delectable. The owner was working alone that day and she served me. She was very attentive and kind. Cheers to Billygan's!
